About Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala
The elephant orphanage located in Pinnawala is a sanctuary for many retired, abused or orphaned Elephants. It is one of the most sought after tourist attractions. The visitors get the opportunity of enjoying the sight of elephants bathing, milk feeding and playing in the river. The adventurous tourists are given the opportunity of touching and posing for pictures with the elephants under the supervision of the mahout. It is an ideal voyage for an elephant lover.

About Sigiriya Rock
Another UNESCO world heritage site is the fortress of Sigiriya. On top of the Lion’s Rock is a palace built by one of the ancient Kings of Sri Lanka. During your climb you will see well-preserved frescoes engraved into the rock a Lion’s Paw, which is the entrance to the palace. Once you reach the top you have a breathtaking view of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka (Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla) as well as the remnants of the ancient Palace

Dambulla Cave Temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is listed as a world heritage site. Being a significant piece of the Buddhist history, this temple has become a major attraction to many a tourists, regardless of the religion. The murals on the walls of the Dambulla Cave Temple; the depictions of Lord Buddha’s life and the demon Mara, has been subjected not only to the amazement of foreigners but also many local tourists.

About Nuwara Eliya
Situated at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. Surrounded by hills, breath taking waterfalls and tea plantations, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year. A favorite retreat of the British during colonial times, the town is dotted with English country style houses and half-timbered bungalows, or Windsor Hotel. No surprise it’s earned the name “Little England”. For a picturesque stroll, stop by the well-maintained Victoria Park or head for Gregory’s Lake, which is located just south of the town. You can also hire boats here.

The rich birdlife at Yala National Park includes about 130 species of birds. The park also provides for camping opportunities amidst the wildlife.

This is one of the UNESCO heritage site.When it comes to fortified towns, nothing can compete with the Dutch Fort in Galle. This world Heritage site on the south coast was the main port of call for ships sailing between the East and Europe.
